To understand CuzImACoder you have to understand me, and right now you have no idea who I am, so let me introduce myself, I'm Joe. I am a father, husband, full stack freelance Javascript developer, coder coach, and in-progress entrepreneur.    I have been programming for the last six years, I began with  simple websites using html, css and javascript. Now, as far as programming goes , I create web apps, and mobile apps mainly using react and react native.  I have several  mobile apps in the pipeline right now, all of which will be distributed through my own company which I formed earlier this year.   I'm trying to take my life to the next level, not only for me, but for my family.  CuzImACoder is the first step I'm taking towards that next level, it is the hub for all my endeavors, which are numerous. I'm going to creating articles and posts which tell my story at a more in-depth level, but I still want to use this post to explain why each section of this website exists.

I am offering coder consultations through the website, I have been coaching for the past couple years, and it has been a rewarding experience. I made so many mistakes as a beginner programmer, and my biggest regret in relation to programming is not seeking out a mentor sooner. I spent countless hours on problems that turned out to be so trivial, and that still annoys me. The biggest impact I have as a coach is the ability to prevent my clients from wasting hours and days , simply by providing encouragement, clarification and insight.  You can learn more about coder consultations here if you're interested.

After family, programming has been the most important thing to me for years, it defines a lot of who I am, and I always wanted to broadcast that a bit. Clothing can be a great way to express your personality, and there is no shortage of t-shirts out there that can accomplish that for programmers, but most of those t-shirts just never really fit my personal style, and I always thought that kind of sucked. So as I was embarking on creating this website, I decided to go for it and create a coder-inspired clothing line that fit my style, and that's why the clothing line exists. I wanted to add a section that shows a mix of my favorite books and also highlights highly rated books that can help people learn how to program. To some extent we are what we learn, and I want anyone that comes across CuzImACoder to understand who I am, if they want to understand. Reading is a huge part of my life, so much so that I do not even listen to music when I drive, I only listen to audiobooks on Audible, you'd be amazed how much you can learn by simply turning your drives into productive knowledge gathering sessions. If you don't feel like you gain much from listening to books then consider a Kindle Membership.
